Wellness is a state of being, not a state of the body. It encompasses all of our being – mind, body, and soul. How you nourish each of these beings is personal and unique to you. If one part of your being is out of balance – the others will never be well.
We are who we are because of many influences – our genetics, our parents, our friends, our geographical location and culture, our religion, our education and our diet – to name a few. If that person you see in the mirror just doesn’t feel right – physically, emotionally, healthfully, spiritually – then you are not living in alignment with your core self. Wellness is encompassing all of your being – paying attention to it, acknowledging it and making changes in your life that align with your own personal “well” state of being.
